What do you consider as being fit?

Most definitions of fitness are really vague, its really hard to sum up fitness in just a few words and there are several factors which are a part fitness that affect each other, it isn't all just physical. Being emotionally unfit can aid in adding onto the layers of fat you have put so much effort into getting rid of. So what do you consider as being fit or what were you doing when you were at your fittest?
